Process to Making a 6 tooth gear On a Horizontal milling machine.
Here I am going to give a simple description to make a spar gear in horizontal milling machine.
Calculation:
NT(number of tooth) = 6
So by formula, 40/NT
=40/6
=6. 4/6
=6. (4*3)/(6*3)
=6. 12/18
Here, 6= full rotation
18= hole circle[where indexing pin is be sated]
12= Holes, to transfer pin to clockwise from hole circle.
NOTE: In calculation, Extra digit which taken(6) in dividing. This extra digit is must take by deep thinking. So that the result digit word has in indexing plates hole number.
Working process:
1. We get 18 as a hole circle. So we have to put indexing pin on 18th written hole, And fix job on job holder for operation.
2. Now crank move beside (left) of indexing pin. And fix this here temporary.
3. Turn indexing pin to 12 holes on same circle. And pin is sat on 12th no hole.
4. Crank move to left side of pin.
5. And now indexing pin turn to by clockwise
For full 6 times and at last set on those hole.
6. Start the machine and cut first tooth.
After complete one tooth, by the process given above, have to do again from the End point of before casting.
Here it is remind in mind that after finishing cutting one tooth. Machine must turn off!
By the way, the gear with 6 tooth will be complete after do this operation.

Feature of vertical milling cutter
Milling machine: A mulling machine is a power driven machine that cut by means of multitooth rotating cutter.
The mull is constracted in such a manner that, The fixed workpiece or tooth frrd to Againest ride to the cutter or job.
Verities of cutter and holding devices allow a wide range of cutting possibilities.

Main parts of a vertical milling machine
1.Base: Base and colony mn are originally one fixed parts. This parts is integrally made by casting operation.
The front of column is a machined face which provides the way to vertical movement of nee.
2.knee: knee is holder of working table & all of the operating gear keys.
3.Saddle: The saddle slides in dovetaild groves into the away from the machine.
providing the mill with it's y-axis movements.
On the top of the saddle sits the table.

4.Head: In a vertical milling machine, Head is main parts of milling machine.
in a milling head contains,
♦ The motor drive switch and on/off switch.
♦Drive belt, gear train, and range lever selector.
♦Quill, spindle, draw ber.
♦in z axis feed, lock, digital depth read out.

5.working table: In working table, job is be attached. Fixed by fixure or Machine vice.

6.Fixure & table vices: Fixure and table vices are to catch workpieces for operation. Fixure in attached to a platform inside the milling machine.

7.cutting tool: The cutter is a metal cutting tool with sharp teeth. This is also secured in that milling machine and rotates at high speed.

8.Arbour: An arbour is consider as an extension of the machine spindle on which cutters are securely mounted and roted.
The arbours are made with tapper shanks for proper alignments with machine spindle having tapper hole on their tapper nose. The tapper shanks of the arbor confirms the Morse tapper or self release tapper.
9.spindle: the spindle of the milling machine is locate in the upper parts of the column and receive power from motor by belt or gears and clutches and transmit to the arbor to the front end of the spindle from the column face and it is provided with a tapped hole into too which verious cutting tool and arbor may be insided.
♦ Construction of vertical milling Machine :
Milling machine may be defiened as the type of machine in which the metal is removed by rotational cutter, where the job is to be feed against revolving cutter or cutting tool. Which has one or more cutting blades or edge.
And also have several parts.
i just try to do designate main parts of Vertical milling cutter.
